shmood shmoring, ladies. (when V lived with me we said things like that..shmood shmorning, gatorshmade, &shmeshmoderant.) anyhow, intake yesterday was high. 620. oh well. two buttons on my phone aren't working correctly so i'm going to sprint today to see if the can fix it. they might just say it's water damage&send me off. they do that sometimes. hmm.....well, i had ice cream last night around midnight. one teaspoon. i purged, drank 4oz of water&then did 50 crunches. fuck you, ice cream. i win. then i stayed up&did jumping jacks for ten minutes (which is hard for me, without stopping) &then sparring (boxing alone).
i want a punching bag. i'll beg everybody to pull together for christmas for a new camera. my family might actually go for it. they're big on that sort of thing. especially V&her husband. so i'll save up for a punching bag. cause that'd be nice. something to hit when i get pissed off (which is pretty often. shocker, right?)&i'll be burning calories.
in other news i can't seem to run much anymore. i get dizzy quickly&every time a foot hits the pavement i feel as if it's my head hitting it instead. i'm having a hard time accepting this. i want to run 4 miles every morning at 5:30am. but i'll have to cut back, which makes me sad.
fortunately there are tons of other exercises i can do that won't hurt. &i was wondering what kind of music you guys listen to during your workout? i usually put on paramore cause it clears my mind&i lose track of time. but sometimes i put on mangry music like linkin park&three days grace. ho-hum. i've been trying to comment on just about everything. what else...oh, right.

I listen to house/techno music when I work out. I feel like it gives me more energy. Btw, I wish I had the time to paint my nails more than once a week. For me, it's more like once a month. It it always manages to get chipped by the next day, so annoying!
ReplyDeleteI listen to whatever I'm in the mood for..though generally I either get sick of anything I put on or else still with Super Mash Bros. It's upbeat enough to motivate me..but thinking about it I know all the songs so I need new ones. I think I do better when I don't know all the words.

ReplyDeletedo yoga, it's amazing, you can't get dizzy and you always feel slim and leaner after - although punching bags can be fun too, but save up for some gloves, not big boxing gloves, but little ones that look like biking gloves 'cause they save your hands from a ton of pain!
& thanks for thinking of me :), I'm not staying in the 'marital home' on the weekends and I feel weird blogging at friends places, so I won't be posting much on weekends until November - but I can tell October will fly by because I'm in a much better mindset now than I have been in a long time, being hopeful is a wonderful thing
i always listen to punk(i'm a punk at heart!) it always gets me to work out really hard. but i also listen to like techno and house it makes me want to move. and don't worry about the intake you can always do better today. stay safe and strong. lots of love S xoxo
ReplyDeleteI don't like Green Day, but they're an angry band and American Idiot was an angry album, so when I go out running I listen to them. About the running- try what I do with running and sidestepping with tv, it's like running but slightly easier. Which will be good while you get your strength back. About the punching bag- my aunt has one, lots of fun! make sure you get gloves though or it will hurt your hands. Love you feel better <3

Hahaha, I listen to hardcore rap (like DMX hahaha). Don't ask me why, it just focuses me and motivates me to work harder. Something to do with the beat, probably.

I always listen to rap when I'm working out (mostly Eminem). It just has a good beat to keep a pace to, and some of the lyrics make me want to keep going (i.e., 'Till I Collapse, Remember The Name, Number One...).
If I'm not listening to rap when I'm working out, I'm listening to myself breathe, and all the boys make stupid jokes. :]

I listen to heavy metal a lot--Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, and then all the metal that got big in the 1990's. Makes you run faster.

I listen to happy music when I work out (I know most people don't) But anything happy with a good beat keeps me going- seems to give me energy. And if I forget my ipod I listen to the radio thats on in the gym... and usually have a blah workout!
ReplyDelete& I fall asleep with noise on- usually tv/dvds on the laptop so that has a bit of light coming from it.
& nails are done whenever I have time so that can be weekly or yearly...
