sorry ladies. i'm sick. kinda been chillin in bed lately so apologies for the delay. i'm replying to your emails now though.
okay, the holiday we americans take way too seriously-thanksgiving. fuckkk me. the only food i can think of that i'll be able to have is the green beans out of the casserole, turkey, &a little sweet potato. ugh. how are we going to do this? personally, the festivities will be on my uncle's farm, so i'll have 20 or so acres to wander around. i'll bring my surprise, so i'll walk her around most of the day&hang out with my favorite cousin. (remind me to buy boots for surprise, she got stickerburrs in her paws last year&i felt bad.) i'll have small portions when i do eat. i'll write everything down. the 7 days after thanksgiving are going to be hell for me cause i'ma work out like none other. the house will be crowded&noisy so purging won't be a problem, whether in the bathroom or in the woods behind the house. gotta remember to bring two toothbrushes-one to shove down my throat, the other to get my teeth squeaky clean. also, extra mints. hm...i think that's it. please post any tips you have&lemme know how you're going to get through this godawful holiday. those of you outside the u.s., just know that we envy you.

okay, the girl on the left does not belong in skinny jeans. someday i'll go out&buy a pair of skinny jeans&they'll look great. until then, belted baggy jeans it is. stay strong today, lovelies.

p.s. i hate being sick. i can't work out without getting a headache&it's driving me crazy. tootles for now, can't feel my fingertips.

Sorry your sick=[ I especially love the thinspo today. I'm pretty much getting through thanksgiving the same way as you are. I'll probably get a box of antacids to chew after purging, before I brush my teeth. I'm paranoid about the stomach acid eroding my teeth and making them look nasty, so that's always what I do. Mints are a good idea too, to cover up gross breath, so thanks, ha. Hope you get better soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon :)
ReplyDeletewell I don't live in the us, but boo me I'm going away this weekend to a friend's house so there's going to be loads of food prepared just for me.. how "nice" this can be, right?
anyway I'm working my butt off already and I'm panicked enough, so I get your point..
off to yoga class, post a photo of surprise with boots maybe??
first off, i missed the shit out of you and your blog!!!
ReplyDeletesecond i feel for you my birthday and thanksgiving are close to each other so i get stuffed with cake and food!
but i know you'll do great. some tips: move your food around on your plate a lot, sort of chop it up so it looks smaller. and drink water! seriously i drink way too much water during the holidays! lots of love S xoxo
Oh, take care of yourself and get well again, you can exercise afterwards.
ReplyDeleteAnd about thanks giving (gosh, I am happy we don't celebrate that), try not to make a big deal out of it. Like you said, eat small amounts, don't eat if it's not necessary and you'll be perfectly fine, love!
Wish you all the best,
-merely
good plan to bring the mints and extra toothbrushes! during thanksgiving, i just find safe foods that i can eat, like those green beans or something, and eat them very slowly. when everyone get seconds, you can just say that you already did. if you're eating the whole time, no matter how slowly, it will most likely seem like everything's normal. :)
ReplyDeletemy main thing i focus on when it comes to thanksgiving is avoiding the breads. i avoid stuffing/dinner rolls/ after dinner sweets. last year i filled up on the veggies and had a reasonable sized piece of turkey. try of course to enjoy yourself as well. im giving myself a 3 pounds gain allowance for the holidays.as long as it stays at 3 pounds ill give myself a break (of course if it passes that up im going to flip out lol).
ReplyDeletestay strong

feel better! but i dont know anything about purging so i cant really give you any advice on that count. but im also lost for thanksgiving... im a vegetarian... so im assuming ill get... nothing? haha. sounds good.
ReplyDeletethanksgiving sounds like a massive food-fest!! we don't have it in aus..probs a good thing :) good luck x
ReplyDeletemy trick for family outings is to actually stay with the family, move from room to room, socialize. But I always have a cup in my hands, and it's always something zero-calorie-in-disguise. I might eat a bite or two, but never get my own plate. You can go to the bathroom right as people start getting food, then if you move around and socialize from room to room while everyone else is eating, you can just say "oh, I already had a plate."
ReplyDeleteFor Thanksgiving, I plan on doing this too. Everything on the Thanksgiving menu is full of carbs, fats, sodium, etc. Yeah, maybe some green beans would be cool, but usually they're salted and buttered (aka, ruined) when someone in my family cooks them :/
and the average dinner roll is a whole 100 calories. 100 calories for a food that isn't all that spontaneous or filling. It isn't worth it. Gravy clogs arteries and chicken gets in your teeth, and mashed potato mountains are sodium-filled carbs, too.
Gosh, and don't get me started on the desserts ://////
Get well soon my dear!xx
ReplyDelete20 acres to wander around! sounds lush, embrace it!!! your body LOVES exercise, remember that and I hope your start to feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteSorry my post made you start thinking :s but I always love to hear what you say
